To insist the state government to formulate Special Schools Regulation Act and provide recognition under this Act.
→To recruit and train the special educators, professionals and other committed field staff members enabling them for effective participation and create service environment.
→To help the special schools to implement and adopt the latest technological advancements for facilitating optimum learning environment in their special schools.
→Guiding the special schools for getting recognition, infra structure development and financial managements.
→To work for the welfare of the special educators, professionals and other staff members who are actively serving for the education and training of the students with Intellectual disabilities
→To appraise the status of special schools and improve the standard of their services for the development of children with intellectual disabilities.


→To support and provide financial aids and other moral supports for the families of the staff who are working at various special schools.
→To provide in service training programs for the special educators, professionals and other field staff members enabling them for effective participation and create professionalism in special schools as mandated in Rehabilitation Council of India RCI Act-1992
→Negotiate with legal institutions about the rights and obligations provided in the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act-2016 and all other relevant Act pertaining to disability rehabilitation.
→To develop formal education system, vocational education system, placement avenues and higher education options for improving the life efficacy of the persons with intellectual disabilities.
→To start research institutes for conducting researches in the field of intellectual disabilities for the promotion of technological changes and implement recent trends in special education.
→To function as a nodal agency in the field of education of intellectual disabilities.
→To conduct various programs like sports activities (Special Olympics games), cultural and social events for the students of intellectual and developmental disabilities.
→To offer help to member special schools during the crisis and encourage them to conduct the schools without any hindrances.
→To provide financial, medical, social, psychological support to the families having children with disabilities.
